Stargazer

Last week I read about a lily with the
beautiful name Stargazer and
immediate I got a picture in my head
for a plant for Griezelda's conservatory.
Today I made her this stargazer plant.
Difficult to see, but the eye is staring at five
little stars.

The first curio's

The first curio's are in the Cabinet
not much, but a start.

a golden apple from the Garden
of the Hesperides

The dragon-egg that Margriet gave me is temporary
placed on a little table.
Mistral likes a bigger table with all kind of
dragon things, like teeth, blood, skin, a skull etc

The wings of an angel.

Light in Griezelsteyn

My husband always does the electricity in my houses,
this weekend he worked on Griezelsteyn

The batlamp in the livingroom.

Foeksia and Willow don't have
to sit in the dark anymore.

And light in the workshop.
Only 3 lamps in Griezelsteyn 1...
I need to make a lot more.

In Griezelsteyn 2
there is light in the room of Fauve and Raven.

Dragonda is very lucky, she has
now 2 working lamps.

And in the astronomy-room, 3 planets
from the vertical orrery are working.

Griezelsteyn needs a lot more lamps, I better make
a to-do-list for it :-)

Half 2

I worked on Half so here is an update.
No matter what I do, how many times I upload this picture,
rotate it at PSP, remove it from Picassa and upload it back,
Blogger has decided that it has to be rotated this way....

This is the beginning of the
Cabinet of Curiosities.

Griezelda's room is now as it was in
Griezelsteyn 2, so she is very happy.

And this is the conservatory, painted deep purple,
now I have to think about the floor.

Conservatory part 1

I thought that a flowershop in Half was a
good idea, but Griezelda didn't want to hear
about it.
I had to make her a conservatory, but one that
suited her style...
Well, this is the beginning of it.

Moon fases

I had this picture and my first idea was to
put a frame around it and hang it in the
astronomy room.

But later I thought that idea was a bit common voor Griezelsteyn,
so I made 3D moon fases under the plateau.

Perfect for this room!
The plateau can turn, so I can place the moonfase of
the moment in front.

Lunar

Falcon was bored, his parents are away,
Grams is very busy with Fauve and Raven
and his big sister Foeksia has her friend Willow to stay,
so he asked if his friend Lunar could come
but in this clothes Lunar could not
come to Griezelsteyn

So I dressed him in a piece of fabric
Lisette gave to me.
He also brought Paddo, his bullfrog.

And now the two boys are happily playing
in Falcon's room.

Astronomy Room

Last week I worked hard on the Astronomy Room.
At this moment this is how it looks.
The left side

A plateau in the middle of the room with a big
telescope, a chair and a table.

Galileo (Mistral's cat) is inspecting the plateau.

The right side of the room

The corner with the orreries

And a look through the open dome.

Green Room

In the attic we find the green room.

You can sit on the settee and read some books with
fairytales.
The fairytales in this room are:

Sleeping Beauty.

The Emperor's new clothes

The naughty Princess

Thom Thumb's boots

Rats from the Pied Piper of Hamlin

The Pied Piper of Hamlin's flute

The ballerina from The steadfast Tin Soldier.

magic harp from
Jack and the beanstalk

Spinning wheel with gold from
Rumpelstiltskin

The crowned Duck

a trumpet from
The Magic Clock

And that is how far the museum is at the moment.
When I add a new fairytale I will make an update.

Pink Room

When you take the stairs in the blue room, you enter the Pink Room.

In this room there are already a lot of fairytales:

The bird in a cage and the flower with a dewdrop from
Jorinde and Joringel.

The rose from
Beauty and the Beast

Rapunzels long braiden hair.

The magic oil lamp from Aladin.
The key with blood from Bluebeard.

Also from Aladin the Magic carpet.
On top of it the Ugly Duckling.

In the bay window is the basket with nice food
from Little Red Riding Hood.

3 golden hairs from
The devil with the 3 golden hairs.

The key to the Bibelebontse berg.
It is a Dutch story, about the Bibelebontse Mountain.

The golden mortar from
The clever Farmer's Daughter.

And the Bell from
The Magic Clock.
