Present from Clari

Last week I found a present from Clari
in our mailbox.
She wrote that it was a gift because I manage
Kladblog so well (blushing)
4 beautifull skulls!
I will use them in Griezelsteyn or in one
of my new projects.
Clari thank you so much for this wonderful surprise.

Buddy and Prinses

Before our holiday, Nella made
new dolls and I had to buy this lovely little boy.
Buddy is his name.
He arrived last week and traveled together
with a frog. (I didn't had a frog in
the collection of Nella creations.
The frog told me her name was Prinses
(Dutch for Princess), because there is a
Frog King, a Frog Prince and she is the
Frog Princess...who am I to argue about that.

Souvenirs from the Baltic Sea Tour

We are back from our trip around the Baltic Sea.
It was not long enough so we added the part with the red line :-)
I saw a lot of miniatures
but I only bought things I can use in projects.

For a vignette I bought something in every capital city.
From left to right: Warsaw - Vilnius - Riga - Tallinn - Helsinki and Stockholm.

I love trolls and I couldn't resist those.

This is not really a miniature, but I liked this blue fingerdoll from Riga
so much that I bought it.
It's hanging on my bulletin board.

In a toy store in Stockholm, I saw these Ogress for a very reduced price.
I thought that Mistral would like a mounted ogre :-), so I bought them.
The one on the left (2.5 cm) is now in the Cabinet.

All those things I bought for Griezelsteyn.

Beads to make orrery's and wings to make angels.

Miniatures for different projects.

And animals.
Panda's for my panda vignette.
Owls for the Owlery (it's on my list of projects I am going to make)
And two black cats for the Dutchess of Cats Hill

The next few weeks I will be traveling, looking out for
miniatures in this part of the world.

Last week, a minimermaid arrived for the Cabinet of Curiocities.
She was found and mounted in South Africa.
And this is the cabinet of Curiocities at this moment.
There is room for a lot more treasures.

A few days ago Sjoukje posted this log on Kladblog.
It says "bring the roses to lalalalala".
Now that must be my new nickname, because what arrived yesterday in our
mailbox? The jug with roses and the ouijabord!

What a very nice surprise and how lovely
they look in Griezelsteijn.

Sjoukje, thank you so much for this surprise, I am very happy with
this wonderful gift.

I found 3 owls at a flea marketThe one in the middle is for Mistral.
She sits in his astronomy room and he called her Noctua
(after a very old constellation)
The other 2 are for the Owlery from the Harry Potter books
(it is on my list of projects I want to make).

When the rain stopped, I quickly walked to the mailbox to see if Kantrina (kant = lace) already arrived. The post was very quick this time, because she was there.
Quickly I took her out of the bag and the tissue and after the long journey, she needed a snack.
The tissue was very handy, because we don't want her lovely lace skirt to get dirty.

Dear Nella, Kantrina is beautiful and so original, I'm very happy with her, thank you much for this wonderful present!

Little Witch

Look what a nice surprise I found in our Mailbox
(Blogger rotated the pictures...)
Petra is in Spain at this moment and there she
bought this little witch for me.
She is only 2 cm and made on my
birthstone. She will look wonderful in Griezelsteyn.

lovely present!

When Nella announced a June Sale I could not resist buying 3 dolls.
I have a weak spot for her dolls with a tail on their head.

I named them Ivy, Rose and Honey
after the colors on their dresses.

new curio's

There are new curio's in the Cabinet.
For the dragontable there is a piece of green dragon skin
and a tube of dragontears.
And there is a stuffed snowpino, very unique!
(I got it as a present a few years ago, and the
cabinet of curiocities is a perfect place for it.)

- 1 or 2 materials of your own choice

After Nella's Easter-contests on Kladblog/ger, she sent me this picture.
The note said that this little ink-fish was swimming to my house.
But we don't have a lot of water where I live, so it took a lot of days, but than
I thought I saw something in our swimmingpool....

And yes, with the stream there was a little boat with the ink-fish in it.
She got tired of swimming and hired a boat. :-)

And there she is, relaxing in the sun after the long journey.
her name is Pearl.

What's a lavendershop without lavender?
The last days I spent hours making lavender plants.

Friday, April 22, 2011

Yesterday, I took out my box with things
for the lavendershop.
I made little labels, filled baskets etc.
This is how the shops looks at this moment,
still a lot to do.
I like to have a doll looking out of the door.

Towels, bathsalt, bathpearls, badthoil,
bodylotion . The soap chain was a
present from my friend Hanny.

The pillow from Margriet, a kit with
al lavenderthings, 2 baskets with lavender.

I think I will make some lavenderplants next.
